Zip Line Canopy Tour

Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park is the most famous National Park in Costa Rica and the most visited by tourists each year. This tropical dry forest is located on a peninsula, surrounded by crystal clear Pacific water and white sand beaches. The main attractions of this park are its two white sand beaches: Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio. There are 109 mammal species including 3 different species of monkeys, agouti, three-toed sloths, two-toed sloths and over 180 species of birds. Carara Biological Reserve

Carara Biological Reserve is a transition forest between the Tropical Dry Forest region to the north, and the more humid Pacific Rainforest to the south. Relatively small: only 4,700 hectares, the Carara National Park is one of the few remaining breeding grounds for the majestic scarlet macaw which can easily be spotted in the early morning and late afternoon hours.Carara is a pre-colonial archaeological site with rivers, lakes and waterfalls. You will find monkeys, collared aracaris, raccoons, coatis and many different species of birds.Location: 20 minute drive from Jaco Beach

Tortuga Island

Location: In the Gulf of Nicoya, there is a heavenly archipelago of several islands with lush natural beauty and a sanctuary that is home to seabirds, white sandy beaches, and the flora and fauna of our Central Pacific region. Tortuga Island is located in this beautiful archipelago. Situated 12 nautical miles from Puntarenas, Tortuga Island (called by local indigenous people “Tolinga”) has an area of 120 hectares and is maintained as a protected forest, which has been awarded the Ecological Blue Flag for more than five years. Crocodile Tour

The crocodile tour is a unique adventure located in the Central Pacific Region of Costa Rica. This tour will take you up and down the Tárcoles River aboard a very safe and reliable boat. The Rio Grande of Tárcoles is one of four rivers that end at the Gulf of Nicoya on the Pacific Ocean. It offers visitors the opportunity to observe American crocodiles up to four meters in length! White Water Rafting

Monteverde Cloud Forest

Horseback Riding Tour

Poas Volcano

The Poas Volcano is among the most visited national parks in the Costa Rican National Park System. It features two extremely impressive craters, one of which holds a lovely blue lagoon.At 2,704 meters high, you will discover the first crater 1.3km wide and 300m deep. The second crater, Laguna Botos, is a lake surrounded by a dense cloud forest. Here you will find a variety of hummingbird species and various types of exotic birds. Arenal Volcano

This is one the most active volcanoes in the Americas…actually, it is active 24 hours per day! The volcano soars 1,635 meters high and is bordered by dense rain forest and natural hot springs. On the way, you will enjoy gorgeous views of the cloud forest, waterfalls, pastoral scenery and typical Costa Rican towns. The last big eruption was in July of 1968! The volcano rests near the town of La Fortuna where you will find several restaurants, boutique stores and souvenir shops.Location: Leave from Room2Board, about a 3.5 hour drive

Canyoning/Waterfall Rappelling

Just 15 minutes from Jaco we will arrive at a beautiful 800 acre property to start your adventure. You will be outfitted with latest and safest gear from Black Diamond in the USA. After being instructed on the safe and proper use of the equipment we will begin our hike into the canyon(20-30 minutes).Your naturalist guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna. Monkey, Toucan and Scarlet Macaw sightings are common! After arriving at the top of a gorgeous 300’ waterfall we will begin our descent down through the waterfalls. We will rappel down the face of 4 waterfalls from 60-90 feet!! At all times you will be “safe and backed up” by your guide!! A short hike further and we will then “ZIP-OUT” on 2 Canopy Ziplines. The longest is over 2000 feet!!! We will then enjoy a tropical fruit snack and a beverage before returning to the hostel.
